Culver City Elks Hold their Annual Charity Ball

Funds were raised

Culver City Lodge 1917 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks held their annual charity ball this past Saturday night, Nov. 11, 2018. The purpose of this event is to raise money from the members of the Lodge to support the charity work we do for the people of Culver City.

This year's theme was a Masquerade Party. Our lodge was beautifully decorated by Norma Casillas and Genny Santiestaban.

Members were treated to a spectular dinner of salmon and tri-tip with scallop potatoes and fresh green beans. Dancing was irresistible thanks to the DJ spinning the classics. Masquerade masks were supplied, but members were free to bring their own.

This somewhat backfired as some of us were unclear on the concept.

All in all the Culver City Elks had a fantastic night dancing and donating. We refilled our charity account so we can continue helping those in need in our community.
