Daylight Saving Time begins March 14, 2021. Remember to check your smoke alarms and change replaceable batteries, if needed.

- Smoke alarms with non-replaceable 10-year batteries should work for up to 10 years. Test monthly. If the alarm chirps, warning that the battery is low, replace the entire smoke alarm right away.
- Smoke alarms with any other type of battery need a new battery at least once a year. When these alarms chirp, replace the battery right away. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
