The 17th annual Culver City Music Festival, curated by producer Gary Mandell of Culver City’s Boulevard Music, offers something for everyone, from flamenco, rock ‘n roll, jazz, reggae, salsa and acoustic Celtic music. There will be 8 free concerts under the stars in the intimate courtyard of Culver City City Hall. Enjoy dozens of dining options within walking distance and free parking.
The Concert Schedule is as follows:
- July 7- fiery Spanish flamenco and percussion with Incendio,followed by Argentinian rock with Los Pinguos.
- July 14- Reggae with Ghanaian star Rocky Dawuni and his 11-piece band.
- July 21- Afro-Cuban salsa with Ricardo Lemvo and Makina Loca
- July 28- acoustic Celtic band Molly’s Revenge with special guest vocalist
Christa Burch - August 4- rock and rockabilly from guitar legend Albert Lee, backed by the Carl Verheyen Band.
- August 11- Beatles tribute band 4 Lads from Liverpool.
- August 18- Jazz Bakery Movable Feast presents jazz quartet Woodford, Ehling, Ratner & Wallace with guest vocalist Dwight Trible.
- August 25- Jazz Bakery Movable Feast presents living Conguero legend Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band.
