World Artist, Robin Brisker, exhibits work ranging from abstracts to assemblage. His paintings reflect humor and spontaneity, and many types of performers appear center stage. Contorted jugglers and distracted puppeteers get top billing in two of Brisker’s series. Even though he’s influenced by Leger, Klee, Calder and the Cubists, he feels the inspiration comes largely from his globe-trotting adventures, living in ten countries over thirty-five years time.
Brisker traverses a variety of mediums and his work is largely mixed media. Oil on Canvas, Water-based on Wood Panel, and Collage of Antique Found Objects are just a few of the cast members.
His client list includes Madonna, Miles Davis, William F. Buckley, Amy Irving, and artists Dan Rizzie, Tony Fitzpatrick and Jamie Wyeth.
Though he has shown in over 100 exhibits in his career, this will mark his first one in Los Angeles – a solo show running through March 10, 2012.
