Black Talkies on Parade presents the 1947 musical Juke Joint at the Mayme A. Clayton Library and Museum with a discussion to follow the screening. The film is Spencer Williams's final directing credit and one of the last films in the early race film movement. Juke Joint stars Spencer Williams and July Jones as two conman who roll into a Midwestern town and get mixed up in their beauty contest.
