Guinness World Record Skateboard Challenge

As part of Venice High School's Centennial Celebration, we will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record™ for the "Largest Skateboarding Parade"

REGISTER, SKATE and become part of HISTORY.

1) You must know how to skateboard.

2) All participants must read and understand the rules, regulations and Waiver of Liability.

3) Waiver of Liability must be signed by Skateboarder / Parent or Guardian of Skateboarder in order to participate.

4) Each Skateboarder must check in (with photo I.D.) AND check out to be counted.

5) All participants must be on their own skateboards.

6) Each Skateboarder participating is expected to complete the full parade route (2 + miles.) The participant must cross the start line on his / her vehicle (AKA skateboard) and drive (AKA ride) the length of the route to the finish line.

7) If a Skateboarder cannot complete the route, he / she will not be counted in the record.

8) There must be no significant ‘gaps’ in the flow of skateboarders. The skateboarders in the parade may not be more than 2 meters lengths (approximately 6’) apart during the parade.

9) Helmets are required for all participants under the age of 18 (safety gear for all participants is encouraged.)

10) Skateboarders who are 12 and under must have a parent or guardian present during the event.

11) Keep the parade route clean and clear of debris.

12) There shall be no throwing of any type of items.

13) Handouts / Flyers may not be distributed.

14) No pets allowed in the skateboarding challenge.

15) Alcohol / illicit drugs / weapons are not permitted in or around parade route.

16) No use of foul language, no arguing.

17) Parade officials have the right to immediately disqualify and remove from the line-up any participant who is not following the rules outlined or acts in a way that may jeopardize the safety of others.

18) There will be no refund of registration fees for any reason.
