THE MILK OF SORROW, by Peruvian filmmaker Claudia Llosa, tells the story of Fausta, who is struggling though her personal history of abuse and trauma. The film, adapted from Kimberly Theidon's book "Entre projimos", speaks to the stories of suffering endured by Peruvian women during the social upheavals in Peru throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
