Be a part of the cure and join Step Out: Walk to STOP Diabetes at the Media Park. Jillian Rose Reed, star of MTV's number one scripted series Awkward, will be there with her brother to share their reason for participating at the Step Out Walk.
This event will be movie and television themed, making it a different type of walk, beginning with entering the Land of Oz as you check in at the Step Out Walk registration. Then as you begin your walk, you are entertained by various movie characters walking around the premises. Plus, take a photo with Darth Vader and Princess Leia. The Los Angeles walk is designed to be a memorable experience for the whole family and the route is approximately three miles.
Step Out is a great way to show support for the nearly 26 million children and adults in the U.S with diabetes and the 79 million more who are at risk. Every 17 seconds, someone new is diagnosed with diabetes.

Please note that the registration is at 7:30 a.m. and the Walk starts at 9:30 a.m.
