Expo Line Closes this Weekend in Culver City for Maintenance Repairs
Train service will be replaced by bus shuttles for the closed stretch.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Train service will be replaced by bus shuttles on two stretches of the Expo Line for a couple of weekends this month due to maintenance and repair work, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced Monday.
The shuttles will operate from 9 p.m. Friday through the end of service on Sunday between the Culver City Station and the Expo/Bundy Station, and from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 through the end of service on Sunday, Feb. 26 between the Expo/Sepulveda Station and the Downtown Santa Monica Station.
The contractor that built the project -- Skanska/Rados Joint Venture -- has one year to fix items on the line that require repair or replacement. In order for the work to be done safely overhead wires that deliver electricity to trains must be powered down, Metro said.
