Class Description:
This class will cover 2 styles of dance, Samba Reggae and Samba Regional; Slleyk’s signature style developed from years of research on the roots of Samba. You will experience the joy of Brazilian culture while learning the basics of each style including its origin, musicality and the major players throughout history. The class starts with a gentle warm-up that eases you into the full-body movements of the dance where you burn calories, fat and increase your heart rate while smiling and having fun the whole time. The class finishes with a gentle cool down and relaxation leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated with a lightness and happiness that is contagious. This class is great if you’re new to Brazilian dance, or if you want to hone the basics.
