'Jack and the Beanstalk' Attracts Full House

Summer outdoor theater has begun at Carlson Park.

Lawn chairs and blankets kept the audience comfy as they were entertained by the Children's Popcorn Theatre at Carlson Park Saturday afternoon.  Saturday's production was "The True Story of Jack and the Beanstalk," a comical twist on the original children's story.

The Culver City Public Theatre has been providing free outdoor theatre for 12 summers. This year's plays are held on Saturdays and Sundays, beginning with the noontime children's show.

The last show of the summer is August 22.
