L’Ami Debutes New Fall Menu

A bit of St. Tropez in Brentwood

It's always fun to do something special on a Friday afternoon. The rain decided to give us a reprieve, which was all the more reason to enjoy the romantic patio at L’Ami restaurant in Brentwood, giving you a taste of St. Tropez across from the Brentwood Country Mart.

If you haven’t tried L’Ami, now is the time to indulge in their new menu and cocktail offerings. The culinary team, led by French-born chef Francis Bey, has created a vibrant menu which highlights fresh, seasonal organic ingredients with a modern flair. From the looks of my dining companions throughout the restaurant, these new items seem to be a hit.

A must is the HEIRLOOM TOMATO & BURRATA- with Heirloom Tomato, Creamy Burrata & Basil Dressing. This thick scoop of delight, was a fistful of pleasure. I slathered the cheese liberally on the tomatoes, knowing I would pay penance later with a healthy walk.

Also notable were the MOULES FRITES-with PEI Mussels, White Wine, Shallots, Garlic, Parsley & French Fries, combating the thick indulgence of the cheese we had beforehand.

Loved the grilled vegetables which flanked the SCOTTISH SALMON-with Grilled Asparagus, Quinoa & Lemon Beurre Blanc. Salmon is always a winner in my book.

This is a special place. If the weather is chilly, sit inside and bask by the fireplace. But if it's warm, you owe it to yourself to simply enjoy a balmy day and the privacy of the patio.

If it's an intimate gathering you're after, this place fits the bill, away from all the hustle and bustle of the many trendy restaurants in the area, affording you time to think, listen, and enjoy the nuances of the day.
