Man Arrested After Multiple 405 Freeway Shootings In South Los Angeles
Authorities say Martin Moreno-Pacheco is linked to three car-to-car shootings over the past week.
A man suspected of carrying out a series of shootings along the 405 Freeway in South Los Angeles was arrested Friday, authorities said.
Investigators linked the suspect, identified as Martin Moreno-Pacheco, to three separate car-to-car shootings reported over the past week, all of which damaged vehicles but caused no injuries, according to NBC Los Angeles. Authorities said Moreno-Pacheco was taken into custody early Friday morning during a traffic stop, where officers found a loaded BB gun inside the vehicle he was driving.
KTLA reports Moreno-Pacheco has been tied to three incidents, including an “unprovoked shooting” on the 405 near Wilmington Avenue on May 23, a car-to-car shooting around 5:30 a.m. Thursday south of Vermont Avenue that damaged a vehicle, and another shooting on May 22.

No injuries were reported in any of the incidents, according to media reports. Anyone who witnessed the shootings or may have additional information is asked to contact CHP Officer C. Ortega at the South Los Angeles Area office.
