Centaurs lacrosse coach Jerry Chabola uses the Summer Lacrosse Camp to groom his younger players for future success.
Scoop, pass, catch, shoot! These are just some of the lacrosse skills that kids learn at the Culver City Summer Lacrosse Camp. Centaurs Coach Casey Chabola, who has been coaching the Culver City High School boys' lacrosse team for the past 11 years, began the summer lacrosse camp three summers ago with the intent to introduce younger kids to the sport. Playing lacrosse since college himself, Chabola has always valued the camaraderie of the game. "It's about the relationships you make with the kids--watching them grow and hoping you make some kind of impact," he said. Lacrosse camp is open to incoming first through ninth graders.
Looking toward the future, Coach Chabola only sees more growth for the lacrosse camp. It ends Friday.
