Update: 11:02 PM PST: report from someone who went up to the Baldwin overlook hill indicates this fire is south and not in the field.

The sky southwest of Culver City has an ominous glow this morning yet no official news has been released about a fire that seems to be somewhere over the Inglewood Oil Fields / Baldwin Hills.
Neighbors report hearing many firetrucks around 6:30 am and again about an hour later.
The two photos show a shot from the end of La Salle Ave. Shooting slightly southeast shows a typical appearance. The shot southwest shows a thick cloud of smoke hovering over the hills.
I attempted to call the non-emergency number for the Culver City fire department when I could not find any news online about a fire in this area but it went to voicemail.
