Road Rage Driver Allegedly Shoots At Motorist In Culver City

The driver was arrested on Nov. 30 in Culver City and booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

CULVER CITY, CA – A Los Angeles man was arrested for a Culver City road rage incident in which he allegedly fired several shots that struck the other motorist's windshield, police reported Monday.

Lucian Wayne Bingham-Jackson, 24, of Los Angeles was arrested on Nov. 30 and booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, said Culver City police Lt. Randy Vickrey.

The run-in occurred about 11 a.m. Oct. 28 near Overland Avenue and Palm Court, Vickrey said.

"After a brief exchange of words, the suspect brandished a black pellet handgun and fired several rounds at the victim, striking her windshield several times," Vickrey alleged.

The woman, whose name was withheld, was not injured, Vickrey said.

Police said a KTLA news story, in which police asked for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect, resulted in an anonymous tip that led to the suspect's arrest.

Police searched his residence and found a black pellet handgun believed used in the crime, Vickrey said.
