Should Leaf Blowers Be Allowed In Culver City?
A new ordinance will be discussed by City Council at an upcoming meeting – what do you think?

CULVER CITY, CA – Have you ever woken up to the gritty sound of a leaf blower on a day you were supposed to sleep in? The Culver City Council will consider adopting an ordinance that modifies a chapter of the Culver City Municipal code, Prohibited Public Nuisance Conditions on Real Property, to prohibit the sale and use of leaf blowers and noise levels exceeding 65 decibels. The proposed ordinance will become effective five years after its adoption to provide time for existing leaf blowers to deplete their useful life, according to Culver City.
The meeting in which leaf blowers will be discussed is on Monday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Mike Balkman Council Chambers at City Hall. City Hall is located at 9770 Culver Boulevard.
The agenda and related items are currently available here. So what do you think? Are leaf blowers a nuisance or should they be left alone?
