Storm Knocks Out Power to More than 800 in Culver City

Hundreds were without power overnight due to Edison equipment failure in the rain.

Southern California Edison reported on its website more than 1,800 customers were without power this morning in Los Angeles County due to equipment failure as the area was hit by rain.

Many of the power outages were reported between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Edison. The largest involve 884 customers in La Puente’s 91749 zip code and 866 customers in Culver City’s 90232 zip code, Edison reported.

Outages affecting a few customers to a few dozen customers were reported in unincorporated Los Angeles County and in South Pasadena.

In Orange County, there were 2,250 Fullerton customers without power and 10 had power out in Santa Ana, Edison reported.
