Viviane Delivers New Happy Hour Options
Happy hour is extended to 7:30. More time to enjoy the fanfare!
I'm running on fumes this morning after a festive evening in Beverly Hills last night. This was our second visit to Viviane, and it delivered just as much fanfare as the last time we visited.
The evening was a quiet one, probably because most of the hipsters were glued to their devices watching the Emmys. I missed a bit of the commotion, as the patio area is usually clogged with industry types, but it was nice to be able to hear my partner's conversation.
Get ready for some new Happy Hour options, and extended hours, thanks to the culinary efforts of Chef Michael Hung. Sit inside, or grab a table by the pool and reflect upon your good fortune.

Expect the usual at this restaurant. Each dish provides an orchestra flavor with many elements combined displaying the innovative styling of Hung.
How can you ignore oysters so deep, that the fistful of meat can barely slide down your throat? On their Happy Hour menu, these Oysters on the Half Shell are only a dollar apiece-a real bargain and certainly some of the best oysters I've had in a long time.

I'm not a fan of fried foods, but the Corn Beignets sounded fascinating, and they were, delivering nice tangy fried food flair.
We both fought over the Pan Roasted Whole Prawns, with creamed hominy, grilled corn and charred pickles. There was a surprise kick with this dish, but it didn't overwhelm the rest of the ingredients.
If you're looking for a groovy spot to hang your hat, come check out Viviane. Braced inside the Avalon Hotel, with its retro Rat Pack style, you'll be glad that you embarked upon the adventure.
