Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Human Trafficking In Culver City

Four victims of sex-trafficking were rescue and two men were cited for suspicion of engaging in prostitution, according to police.

CULVER CITY, CA — A woman was arrested on suspicion of sex trafficking three victims in Culver City, police said Friday.

"Detectives initiated the investigation after receiving information from an anonymous source regarding a possible commercial sex operation operating locally," according to a Culver City Police Department statement. "Detectives conducted a comprehensive follow-up investigation, which led to the identification of a location believed to be involved in illegal activity"

At about 11:45 a.m. Thursday, detectives served a search warrant in the 10300 block of Culver Boulevard, during which a woman who is believed to have been orchestrating illegal activity at the location was arrested. Her name was not released.

"During the service of the warrant, detectives safely located and rescued four victims of sex trafficking," police said. "Victim services resources were immediately provided, and investigators are working to ensure the individuals receive appropriate support and assistance."

Two men were cited for suspicion of engaging in prostitution.

"The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to gather evidence and identify any additional individuals connected to this operation," police said.
