Woman Reports Armed Hold-Up Attempt At ATM In Culver City

Five men in a vehicle pulled up alongside the bank patron, pointed a gun at her and demanded money, police said.

CULVER CITY, CA — Five men are sought by police after they tried to rob a woman at gunpoint as she used an ATM Monday night in Culver City, according to authorities.

The female flagged down officers at approximately 11:09 p.m. and said five men in a black Toyota Corolla just attempted to rob her as she stood at a Bank of America ATM at 3809 Culver Center Drive, the Culver City Police Department said.

The woman said the car pulled up alongside her, and the front-seat passenger pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at her and demanded money, the department said.

"The victim told the suspects that she did not have any money, at which point the suspect vehicle drove away towards Washington Boulevard and out of sight," police said.

The vehicle was described as an older-model, four-door Corolla, police said. The five suspects were described as Hispanic, from 18 to 20 years old and with the armed individual additionally described as bald.
