The accident was in Mountain View on Highway 85.

An 18-year-old lost his life Sunday morning after his car crashed into a tree and a sound wall in Mountain View, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers responded at 5:12 a.m. to a report of a car crash on northbound state Highway 85 just south of state Highway 82, CHP officials said.
The East Palo Alto driver appeared to have been traveling north on the highway when he lost control of his car and it veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree. The car, a 2013 Toyota, then continued to crash into a sound wall before coming to rest on its wheels in the right shoulder of Highway 85, CHP officials said.
