2-Alarm Grass Fire In San Jose Near Flea Market
A two-alarm grass fire burned about 2.5 acres Sunday afternoon in San Jose.

SAN JOSE - A two-alarm grass fire burned about 2.5 acres Sunday afternoon in San Jose, a San Jose Fire Department captain said.
The fire was first reported at 3:31 p.m. near Mossdale Way and North Jackson Avenue near a flea market, fire Capt. Mike Van Elgort said.
It took firefighters about 2.5 hours to get the fire under control.

The cause is under investigation.
Van Elgort said the fire is the seventh or eighth grass fire in the past three days.

"It's hot, it's dry, it's windy," Van Elgort said. Firefighters are asking everyone to be careful with any ignition source.
