All Clear: Hwy 101 Reopens Ahead Of Schedule After Repairs

The Burlingame overpass was expected to be shut down until noon today.

The U.S. Highway 101 Broadway overpass, which was closed over the weekend after a construction crane crashed into a transmission tower, reopened today a few hours ahead of schedule, according to Burlingame Police.

The overpass was expected to reopen at noon but police said around 9:30 a.m. that it had reopened early.

All lanes of Highway 101 were closed for much of the weekend after the crane crashed into the transmission tower at about 9:30 p.m. Friday, leaving high-voltage power lines blocking the highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
