“I love the family atmosphere with nurturing, respectful teachers! It is a great prep for kindergarten and the holiday celebrations are amazing!” wrote Patch reader Jenn Rottler.

Alphabet Soup wasn’t on our initial poll, but Susanne Millar jumped in and wrote this prompting us to add the preschool to our list of choices: “The best preschool in Cupertino is Alphabet Soup on De Anza Blvd. The love and care of this intimate team is so genuine and nurturing. Both my girls attended Alphabet Soup and at the ages of 10 and 11, they still fondly remember their experiences there. Please put them on your poll!”

The long family history of the preschool is reflected in the teachers who have been there at least eight years. Sue Bachanas works with all the age groups (“I think I have the best job,” she says) and her daughter, Abby is a teacher there as well. Lisa Forsland rounds out the roster that gets rave reviews from not just Cupertino residents, but from parents such as Kim and Michelle (no last names were given) who wrote these comments about Alphabet Soup:

“Alphabet Soup is the best! Our oldest went there for 3 years and our youngest is currenlty in his first year at Alphabet Soup. We drive the extra distance specifically because of the teachers and the teaching model. Our son has excelled in kindergarten and I truly believe it is because he was so well prepared after having attanded Alphabet Soup. They not only teach our children academics but life skills as well. The staff is loving and nuturing and it makes it easy to drop your child off in that type of environment!” wrote Kim.

And this from Michelle:

“Another vote for Alphabet Soup here ... Small class sizes, great student/teacher ratio, caring teachers. This place was referred to me by two different families, and I reacquainted with a high school friend who also brings her kids there! She lives in South San Jose, I live in Campbell, and I've met other families from all over the south bay who know about this school and have positive things to say. It's well known and highly regarded for good reason.”

Congratulations Alphabet Soup.
