Authorities ID Sunnyvale Girl As Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- A 13-year-old girl who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Sunnyvale last week has been identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as Margaret Bosch. The Sunnyvale resident was the victim of a collision reported on Fremont Avenue just west of Manet Drive at 12:14 p.m. Thursday.

Bosch was taken to a hospital where she later died.

The collision shut down Fremont Avenue between Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road and Manet Drive for a few hours as police investigated. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and it doesn't appear that alcohol or drugs were factors, public safety officials said.
