Cupertino Rotarians Teaching Children to Fish
An Old Proverb: "Give a man a fish and he won't starve for a day. Teach a man how to fish and he won't starve for his entire life." Author Unknown
This is an experience that can only be explained by being there. About 300 children were the benefactors of adults taking their Saturday morning to teach them how to fish.
These youngsters enjoy the outdoors in the early morning on a beautiful day, learning to fish, a tasty BBQ and fellowship with peers and adults willing to share and teach.
I invite fellow Rotarians to share their experience with these kids here in the comment section. Why do you get up at the crack of dawn to travel, setup the event, work other aspects of the event like the BBQ, and clean up after it is all over.
