Fanning Sisters' Fashion

Over the past year, 13-year-old Elle Fanning has become a major success in Hollywood, not only for staring in Super 8 and We Bought a Zoo but also for her fashion sense. Elle happens to be Dakota Fanning’s little sister, and lately I’ve seen them compared to each other everywhere.

For a somewhat unexplainable reason, I’m partial to liking Dakota. I’d assume this is because I grew up watching her in everything, and I feel a little bad, like her sister is stealing the spotlight. (Although, Dakota seems more than happy to share it with Elle.)

However, when it comes to fashion, I really do think that Elle hits it right on the head more often than her big sis. Regardless of who has scored more winning looks, they’re both good people to take inspiration from when looking for a unique outfit, seeing as they both generally wear simple silhouettes with interesting detail.

And because of their ages, Elle and Dakota like to keep their outfits fresh and great for teens. Here are some of my favorite Fanning looks from 2011 (refer to photos):
