Teen Fashion Fiend Returns From a Dream Trip to France
I've just arrived back from Paris, and I wanted to share a bit from my trip before getting back to usual blog posts.

Bonjour everyone!
I hope all of your summers are going well, and I’m sorry for my absence, but I recently returned from a lovely trip to France. I went with a group of French students from my school, and we had an amazing time visiting both Toulouse and Paris.
Though Toulouse was amazing, there’s something about Paris that makes you feel like the luckiest person in the world to be there. Everything there seems so different from home; from the black swirls on the iron balconies, to the little sidewalk cafes, to the character that all the buildings have distinguishing themselves from the rest. Though the language is tough to learn and use, everyone I met and spoke with was kind and helpful.

I loved exploring the rues, and getting lost after detouring to find the perfect dessert. I loved passing the modelesque women who roamed the city in their six-inch heels, dressed so effortlessly chic. I loved gazing into painted Lanvin store windows, and bright Hermes ones, and seeing signs in all directions reading, “Jean Paul Gaultier” and (my favorite) “Dior”.
One of our teachers/chaparones knows that I enjoy fashion, so while we were strolling down the Champs-Elysees, she took me and a few of my friends a few blocks off the path to an amazingly-giant and fantastic Dior store.

When we were standing outside I could tell how big it was and I was amazed. Then she asked if we wanted to go inside and I couldn’t believe it. I was so excited.
The second we walked in, I’m pretty sure my mouth literally dropped open. It was like a dream: there were mirrors everywhere, and garments hanging in every color and design. There were glass cases containing perfectly-positioned handbags and accessories, and even a room full of men’s suits (complete with an arrangement of men sporting them.)
My friend and I picked out a little rose-colored lace dress that we both fell in love with, although I didn’t see anything that wasn’t completely swoon-worthy. It gave a whole new meaning to tres fantastique.
I had a wonderful time on the trip and I hope to go back someday. I’m glad to be back in the States, and there will be more posts coming soon!
Au revoir mes amis!
