I’m not quite sure why, but for some reason, I am fascinated by men in suits. Perhaps it’s because five days a week I am surrounded by sloppily-dressed boys, with their elastic waistbands, and either oversized everything or uncomfortably skinny jeans. Few of them sport anything other than athletic gear, which, I’m pretty sure is called athletic gear for a reason, and implies that you’re about to go partake in physical activity, not sit in a classroom for the next six hours.
So after spending all of this time with these stained-t-shirt-wearing boys, I find it more than refreshing to see men in suits. I was reminded of my love for them whilst sifting through the Golden Globes red carpet looks, which only makes me more excited to see what other lovely men-in-suits looks future award shows will bring.
When I think about it, this really is an ongoing thing. My favorite TV show characters are the ones in the suits: Chuck Bass, Barney Stinson, and Harvey Specter. Even if I don’t always agree with their antics, schemes, or solutions, I almost always agree with their wardrobe choice. And how could you not? Suits are classic. It would literally take work to look bad in a suit. You’d actually have to try, that’s how magical they are.

So if any men are reading this, and you’re not currently the owner of a suit, I suggest you make it your goal to change that. It will help you professionally, and in your personal life, because, let’s face it, I can’t be the only one who is a fan of men in suits.
And if, like me, you’re stuck without a man in a suit, tune into your favorite suit-wearing shows, sift through award show red carpet photos, and enjoy those lovely men in suits.
