My Espresso Machine has Stopped Expressing Itself
Has anybody in our Patch community had any luck getting an Espresso machine fixed, locally?
Eleven years ago I cashed in my American Express points to get an espresso machine. That was a good deal and I have enjoyed its production over those years. It had a mill grinder built into the machine and a frother, which I never used. It had a few problems which came and went, like lack of Crema for awhile and a small steam leak. The Crema function came back but I think the steam boiler ceased to produce steam, which is vital to the production of fine espresso. I think the Titanic had a similar problem.
Now my question to my wonderful community: Who can fix a eleven year old Briel Portofino, Model EG-82 CA, espresso machine? Oh, the ten year boiler warranty expired about ten months ago, wouldn't you know. I really don't want to ship it someplace, too expensive, or drive very far and replacing it is too costly.
I look forward to your comments after all your holiday stuff is over. Maybe you have an espresso machine that you don't use, needs a new home and we could maybe cut a deal.
