Business Owners Reminded To Pay Taxes Online Starting Jan. 1

The new rules applies to business taxes due from operators with 10 or more employees.

BAY AREA, CA – California businesses with 10 or more employees will have to pay their business taxes online starting Jan. 1, according to the California Employment Development Department.

Those same employers must also file wage reports and payroll tax deposits online beginning Jan. 1.

Starting Jan. 1, 2018, all employers in the state must file and pay their taxes online.

The new rules are the result of Assembly Bill 1245, which was signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown in 2015.
