City Of Cupertino: A Message From The Sheriff's Office Regarding Cupertino High Lockdown

The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene at Cupertino High School for a report of a shots fired. Out of abundance of caution, a lockdown was placed at high school. After further investigation, deputies determined a vehicle exhaust backfired, which caused the loud noises.

Deputies have cleared the school and surrounding area. There is no threat to public safety and no crime occurred from this incident.
