Coroner IDs Woman Killed In Campbell Scooter Accident

CAMPBELL, CA - A woman killed in a crash Saturday afternoon when her scooter crashed into a wall in Campbell has been identified as 49-year-old Lori Holt of San Jose, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

Holt was riding a Yamaha scooter around 2:15 p.m. Saturday at the on-ramp from northbound Winchester Boulevard to southbound San Tomas Expressway, California Highway Patrol Officer Ross Lee said. She lost control of the scooter, which crashed into a retaining wall, Lee said.

Holt was ejected from the vehicle, went over the ramp and landed 80 feet below near train tracks on Winchester Boulevard, Lee said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to Lee.
