A pickup truck driver died Monday afternoon when his truck flipped on state Highway 85 in Sunnyvale, according to the CHP.
SUNNYVALE - A pickup truck driver died Monday afternoon when his truck flipped on state Highway 85 in Sunnyvale, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The truck, which was towing a trailer when it crashed, veered into the shoulder and flipped on northbound Highway 85 near Fremont Boulevard at about 4:40 p.m., CHP Officer Ross Lee said.
The driver was pulled from the truck's cab and emergency responders provided first aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, Lee said.

Two lanes of the highway remained shut down for a period as the CHP investigated the crash.
