The City of Cupertino is excited to invite the public and media to the launch of Cupertino’s new on-demand community shuttle service: Via-Cupertino. The system features new Mercedes Metris vans, each equipped with a bike rack and ADA accessibility, which will provide transportation anywhere in Cupertino and to the Sunnyvale Caltrain station. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 29, from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Civic Center Plaza, 10300 Torre Avenue.
“This partnership with Via is the next generation of what public transportation can be, allowing the City to increase mobility while taking a step toward our larger goal of reducing traffic congestion across Cupertino,” said Mayor Steven Scharf.
