Cupertino County Collecting Data On Local Supplies Of Personal Equipment And Ventilators

Gallon or larger hand sanitizers that are recognized by Centers for Disease -Control as effective in combatting COVID-19 must be reported.

The Santa Clara County Public Health Department released an order today requiring all individuals and entities to disclose any large inventories of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ventilators. For more information, and to take the survey, visit www.sccphd.org/cv19PPE.

The order allows the Public Health Department to:

1. Know what supplies currently exist in the County.
2. Appropriately plan for a potential hospital surge.
3. Ensure the health and safety of frontline medical workers and patients.

What items must be reported? (Partial list only. Refer to full order for more detail)

- Nitrile or vinyl gloves (if more than 5,000 items)
-N95 masks (if more than 500 items)
-Surgical or procedure masks (if more than 500 items)
-Safety goggles (if more than 100 items)
-Face shields (if more than 100 items)
-Gallon or larger hand sanitizers that are recognized by the Centers for Disease -Control as effective in combatting COVID-19 (if more than 10 containers)
-All ventilators (regardless of condition)
