Cupertino Woman Dies After 'Altercation' In San Jose: Police

BREAKING: The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the cause and manner of the death, police said.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- San Jose police said a 75-year-old Cupertino resident has died after injuries she suffered during "some type of physical altercation" earlier this month. Police said Ann Woo was transported to a hospital after the Aug. 11 altercation in the 6100 block of Bollinger Road and succumbed to her injuries on Friday.

San Jose police didn't offer any information on what started the altercation or what led up to it, but said the department's homicide team has taken over the investigation.
