The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning in effect from Saturday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. until Monday, September 7 at 9:00 p.m. Highest temperatures with limited overnight cooling are expected Sunday and Monday with temperatures forecasted in the 100s both days. The California Independent System Operator (ISO) has issued a statewide Flex Alert, a call for voluntary electricity conservation, beginning Saturday and extending through Monday, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Cupertino Senior Center, 21251 Stevens Creek Boulevard, will be open to the public as a cooling center on Sunday, September 6 and Monday, September 7 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
