FBI Conducts Training Exercise at Levi's Stadium

The FBI was holding a training exercise Tuesday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara in preparation for Super Bowl 50, which is less than three months away.

The exercise, started at 1 p.m., included multiple law enforcement agencies and SWAT, bomb squad, and hazardous materials units, in addition to medical personnel and helicopter crews.

More than 100 people participated in the planned exercise at the stadium located at 4900 Marie P. DeBartolo Way, FBI officials said.

The FBI initially planned to open the exercise to the media but later said it would be closed out of concern for public safety and security.
