Golden Pineapple Awards Program Underway in Cupertino

Islands Cupertino's annual program honors local elementary students. Oct. 15 deadline.

Islands Restaurants kicks off annual Golden Pineapple Awards program to honor local elementary students throughout the fall. Whether it’s an A on a spelling test or a perfect attendance record, Cupertino teaches are encouraged to nominate their students.

“The Golden Pineapple Awards are printed award certificates that are distributed to local elementary schools and used to reward students,” said Chris Zettel, general manager for the Cupertino Islands Restaurant. “Islands is committed to building relationships in the community, and we are proud to continue the Islands Golden Pineapple Award program again this year.”

Local teachers can submit their class at marketing@islandsrestaurant.com through Oct. 15. All nominated students will receive an award. Teachers are asked to nominate their class by including the teacher’s name, grade, school name and a few examples of student honorees. Teachers are nominating the class as a whole and they can use the awards to reward their students for any honor they see fit.
