Got Warrants, Cupertino? Straighten Them Out Before New Year With 'Operation Second Chance'

Local police agencies are participating in countywide program for misdemeanor and traffic warrants so offenders aren't booked in jail.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA – Now through Dec. 31, Santa Clara County law enforcement agencies will be participating in Operation Second Chance.

As part of this county-wide special program, individuals with non-violent misdemeanor criminal and traffic warrants can receive a citation with a new court date in lieu of being booked into the County Jail.

Individuals can go to any Santa Clara County law enforcement agency to receive their warrant citation, which will require a new ā€œPromise to Appearā€ in court date.
