Grass Fire Reported Along I-280 Near Cupertino

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- The California Highway Patrol is reporting a vegetation fire along Interstate 280 near Cupertino Friday evening. According to CHP, smokes and flames were reported at 5:35 p.m. on northbound I-280 just north of De Anza Boulevard.

Fire was on the right shoulder of the freeway, with the slow lane blocked at the scene, CHP reported.
