Hotel Fire at Laundry Room Brought Under Countrol
Guests were evacuated from the Cupertino Inn after a fire broke out on the second-floor laundry room. Guests have been allowed back in.

Firefighters brought a one-alarm fire at a Cupertino hotel near Interstate Highway 280 under control Friday morning.
At 8:53 a.m., dispatchers received multiple calls of dark smoke coming from the Cupertino Inn at 10889 N. De Anza Blvd., according to Santa Clara County fire spokeswoman Stephanie Stuehler.
When firefighters arrived, they found the fire at a second-floor laundry room, Stuehler said.

Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control at 9:06 a.m., according to Stuehler.
Guests at the hotel were evacuated and have been allowed back in, hotel employee said.

No injuries were reported and a cause for the fire has not been determined, according to Stuehler.
