How to Get Free Frozen Yogurt, Pancakes

Two chain restaurants have created "holidays" and will give out gratis food.

You won't find Hallmark cards for National Frozen Yogurt Day or National Pancake Day, but there are ways to celebrate the kind-of-made-up holidays in Cupertino.

National Frozen Yogurt Day is Monday, and Yogurtland will serve up free yogurt and toppings from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 4.

The company is also promoting literacy and education with First Book for which Yogurtland hopes to raise $20,000 to provide more than 8,000 books to kids in need.

IHOP is giving away free pancakes on Tuesday to celebrate National Pancake Day.

The restaurant also is aiming to raise $3 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in celebration of the organization’s 30th anniversary, so the pancakes are free but the restaurant would like customers to make a charitable donation.

Stop by the IHOP at 5403 Stevens Creek Rd. to celebrate, just be prepared for long lines.
