Man Suspected In 6 Bank Robberies In Cupertino, Sunnyvale, SJ Arrested

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA ā A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a series of robberies that targeted banks in three South Bay cities between July and last week, San Jose police said today.
Spencer Havens was arrested without incident on Sept. 15 at his San Jose home, police said.
He is suspected of committing six bank robberies in San Jose, Cupertino and Sunnyvale between July 19 and Sept. 13, police said.

In each incident, Havens allegedly approached a bank teller with a demand note and said he had a gun that was never seen, police said.
He is connected with at least two bank robberies in San Jose at a Chase bank at 405 Blossom Hill Road around 3:15 p.m. on Aug. 19 and a Wells Fargo bank at 7270 Bollinger Road shortly before 2 p.m. on Aug. 25, police said.

No injuries were reported in either case, according to police.
Havens is also a suspect in a July 22 robbery at a Chase Bank at 1234 West El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, Department of Public Safety Capt. Shawn Ahern said.
He was booked into the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas on $300,000 bail, according to online jail records.
