Missing Peninsula Senior Citizen Found Safe

An 83-year-old woman reported missing after she was last seen exiting a bus Sunday evening in San Mateo has been found safe, San Mateo County sheriff’s officials said today.

Katsuko Frank was reported missing around 10:45 a.m. Monday by a family member, according to the sheriff’s office. Frank, who lives in unincorporated San Mateo County, had last been seen at 7 p.m. Sunday getting off a bus at the Hayward Park Caltrain station in San Mateo, sheriff’s officials said.

Sheriff’s officials said shortly after 12:30 p.m. today that Frank was found safe. She had been considered at-risk because she has a medical condition that requires medication.
