Pedestrian Struck In Sunnyvale; Roadway Closed For Investigation
Breaking: A vehicle struck a pedestrian on Fremont Avenue, authorities said.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety expects part of Fremont Avenue will be closed for hours after a vehicle struck a pedestrian this afternoon. The collision occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Fremont Avenue between Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road and Manet Drive, Capt. Shawn Ahearn said.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital and no information on their condition was immediately available.
An advisory issued by the department about the collision said the westbound lanes of Fremont Avenue could be closed past 4:30 p.m. for the investigation.
