Lynbrook's first ever Indian Cultural Showcase with dancing, food, music and fashion

Cupertino Patch reader, Elyssa Hurwitz, contributed this article about Silsilay, Lynbrook High School's first ever Indian Cultural Showcase.

Lynbrook High School's gym was full Feb. 18, 2012 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with the Silsilay program providing food, music, dancing and a fashion show.

All proceeds from ticket sales went to help fund Project RISHI, a nonprofit organization helping to provide medical services to rural India.

Students from Lynbrook High and Monta Vista High participated in the program. Monta Vista Bhangra and Lynbrook Bhangra participated as well as Lynbrook's Senior dance group and Lynbrook Choir. The fashion show was sponsored by Lynbrook's Asian Indian Student Association (AISA).
