South Bay Man Who Was Killed in Fatal Accident Identified

SOUTH BAY, CA -- A motorcyclist who died after he crashed his sportbike into a silver Volkswagen in Mountain View has been identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as Cory Elsner of Campbell.

Elsner, 28, was identified the afternoon of Dec. 29. He crashed at around 4 p.m. Dec. 28 on southbound U.S. Highway 101 at the on-ramp from Rengstorff Avenue, California Highway Patrol officers said.

Two lanes of the highway were closed from about 4:15 p.m. to 6:25 p.m. after the crash.
